New design hotspot in Berlin
Bazar Noir opened concept store in Berlin.
For fans of design who like to surround themselves with unusual, international furnishing objects, there is now a new “Bazar Noir” concept store for handpicked interior objects. Local and international brands and designers come together in an assortment that changes constantly: Pieces by Berlin designers stand next to selected art and design objects from Japan or the USA. The vintage furniture and books that round out the assortment are also handpicked. In particular, the interior design of “Bazar Noir” is spectacular; it was decorated by the Berlin design studio Hidden Fortress. In keeping with the name of the store, the first level is kept completely in black in order to make the products the center of focus. A suspended staircase in the middle of the room leads to the second floor, which is entirely covered with light Aleppo Pine, in stark contrast to the lower floor. Hidden Fortress has also developed a flexible shop system for the presentation of the wares that can be used in constantly new ways. A real experience. Photos: Bazar Noir
